We are a heritage brand because of where we come from. We are a legacy brand because of what we aim to represent for generations to come.
TSHEPO is more than just a luxury African denim and lifestyle brand. We have worked hard to become a beacon of pride, craftsmanship, and unity deeply rooted in South African culture.
Our denim is more than just fabric; it’s a narrative of our history, culture, and unwavering pursuit of excellence. We believe that true luxury resides in actions rather than words, in the seamless blend of simplicity and effort.
WE, THE PEOPLE, THE BEGINNING
It began at Constitution Hill. After listening to an incredible talk by lawyer, writer and voice for change, Lwando Xaso, Tshepo was inspired to do something big.
In 2020, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched the We, The People T-shirt. The phrase "We, The People" are the first three words of the South African Constitution, symbolising a call to unity made by our ancestors.
WE, THE PEOPLE, NOW
Another line from our constitution, ‘United in our diversity’ spoke to us. We heard the message loud and clear – It’s when we embrace our differences that we unleash our greatest strength as a nation. 4 years after launching the ‘We, The People’ T-shirt, our newest collection celebrates the rich diversity of South Africa and the unparalleled power it gives us as a people. The collection features twelve T-shirts, each representing one of South Africa’s twelve official languages: By incorporating all twelve official languages, we aim to honour our past while shaping our future.
WE, THE PEOPLE, CONTINUED…
By wearing your T-shirt, you are not just proudly showcasing your identity. You are part of a global movement, building a better reality for yourself and those around you.
Join us in this journey of connection, learning, and mutual respect. Together, let’s build a community where every language is valued, and every person is seen. Celebrate with us, wear your story proudly, and be a part of the TSHEPO legacy.
